# Casement windows

Casement windows hinge on the side and crank outward, so they seal tighter than almost any other style and scoop a breeze into the room. Great over a sink, in a tight spot, or anywhere you want a clean, unobstructed view.

What it is

## The tightest seal there is.

Because a casement closes by pressing the whole sash against the frame, it seals tighter than a sliding window, which makes it one of the most energy-efficient styles you can put in. The crank makes it easy to operate over a counter, and the single pane of glass gives you a clean view with no rail across the middle.

Best for: Kitchens, tight spaces, and rooms where a tight seal and an open view matter most.
